Honda Odyssey Recalled for Air Bag Failure Risk

Honda announced a massive 3/4 million vehicle recall on January 18, 2013 of Pilot and Odyssey late model vehicles because of a driver side airbag problem.

All the details are not out yet but some driver side airbags reportedly may have been installed without some rivets which hold the plastic cover securely and that could result in airbag failure - it might not be triggered when a crash occurs.

Honda says 748,000 Pilot and Odysseys vehicles sold in the US are subject to the recall and 29,000 more in Canada, covering model years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 Pilots and Odyssey minivans from model years 2011, 2012, and 2013.
