Volvo S80 Recall, stalling danger

According to reports from http://www.thedetroitbureau.com/, Volvo has announced a recall of almost 1,500 S80 modesl from the 2011, 2012, and 2013 model years because of faulty computer software that can stop the automatic transmissions from downshifting from 5th to 4th gears.

The gear shifting problem can lead to stalling and an accident, federal safety investigators say.

In a separate recall, the 2012 S80 was also recalled recently for faulty wiring problems too.

This preliminary, early announcement will be followed shortly by the actual recall announcement by federal safety investigators, which will be posted here in the coming days.
